Fall Semester Deadline: July 15th



Faculty/Instructor Responsibilities

  1. Provide a list of materials for the class. Lists my be completely or partially new, or the reactivation of previous reserve list.
    • For books and/or films, include author/director, title, edition (if a specific ed. is required), and publisher.
    • For items to be photocopied, include page numbers for books and/or complete citations for journal articles. Clearly indicate whether you want the item on ERes, print reserve, or both. If more than one copy is needed, indicate the number of copies needed and/or the number of anticipated students.

  2. Provide contact information so we can reach you to ask questions and provide processing updates.

Main Reserve Room Services Offered

  1. Create a list from OBIS of the materials already owned and send you a copy.
  2. Copy or locate in an electronic journal all items noted as wanted for ERes. (Note your deptartment will be charged for the copies)
  3. Prepare all ERes items for scanning and have them scanned early.
  4. Place all available items on reserve - both print and ERes - by August 15.
  5. Send confirmation that the courses are ready and being checked.
  6. Check your reserve course against the list you provided (or syllabus if provided) and notify you of any missing items and their specific status by August 20.
  7. Check your ERes documents for any quality issues.
  8. Process any necessary changes (not additions to the list received, but re-scans or replacement because of an original item's unavailability) by August 25.

Rush requests due to unforeseen circumstances will be given priority during the first weeks of the semester.
