JFO Society weekend: Housing and electoral politics

When John Frederick Oberlin Society members met on campus during the first weekend in May, some of them visited the Habitat for Humanity house that community women--including Oberlin students, faculty, and staff members--are building. Dedication of the site on South Professor and Lincoln Street will take place tomorrow at 5:30 pm. JFO members also heard a discussion of the Richard and Dorothy Cole Initiative in Electoral Politics (Observer 13 October 1994) with professor of politics Ronald Kahn, Mindy Leon '96, Noah Bopp '96, Jeanette Hanna-Ruiz '97 and assistant professor of politics Eve Sandberg. Richard Cole '56 himself was in the audience (foreground), as was Randall Bellows '37.
