Planning and other committees elected

The committee of election judges has announced balloting results for three general faculty committees. Elected to two-year terms (1995 to 1997) on the general faculty planning committee are Robert S. Danforth professor of biology David Benzing, professor of music education Catherine Jarjisian, and professor of English Robert Longsworth. Participation rates were 33 percent in the college nominating ballot, 32 percent in the conservatory nominating ballot, and 35 percent in the final ballot.

Elected to the 1995-96 professional conduct review committee are professor of philosophy Norman Care, Frederick B. Artz professor of history Marcia Colish, professor of harpsichord Lisa Crawford, professor of classics James Helm, professor of viola Jeffrey Irvine, professor of history Clayton Koppes, professor of opera theater Judith Layng, professor of religion Gilbert Meilaender, and Danforth professor of religion Grover Zinn. Participation rates were 33 percent in the college nominating ballot, 39 percent in the conservatory nominating ballot, and 50 percent in the final ballot.

Elected to the 1995-96 mediation committee were Colish, Helm, Irvine, professor of ethnomusicology Roderic Knight, Layng, professor of psychology Judith Beinstein Miller, associate professor of religion Paula Richman, associate professor of history Steven Volk, and Zinn. Participation rates were 30 percent in the college nominating ballot, 56 percent in the conservatory nominating ballot, and 47 percent in the final ballot.
