QTND 38: Mysterious Fourth Floor

I was wondering the mysterious 4th floor and stumbled across an office for the dictionary of American Hymnology. What is this dictionary and why does it get an office? Also what is that room-sized block of locked white boxy things next to it? Some sort of alien holding facility? Is this for mortals to know?

The Dictionary of American Hymnology project is supported by the Hymn Society in the U.S. and Canada. See http://www.thehymnsociety.org/ The project provides information related to hymns and hymn writers as well as the history of congregational song in America. The Library provides space for the project, which is staffed by Mary Louise VanDyke, who has worked for many years as a volunteer.
What's in those boxy things? Aliens, yes, I'm sure that's it.
