Student Research Awards
About the Awards
Up to two awards, in the amount of $500 each, will be given annually to Oberlin College students for outstanding papers or projects, in any subject, that demonstrate excellent research using library resources.
The four criteria considered are: creativity in the use of research tools, thoroughness in the research process, accuracy and attention to detail, and the use of a broad range of research tools.

Nomination Process
Nominations for the awards will be made by Oberlin College faculty. Any student project, with the exception of honors projects and projects done by graduating seniors, is eligible to be nominated. Students whose projects have been nominated will be asked to submit both a copy of the final project, and a short essay discussing the research processes and strategies used in completing the project, to the Friends of the Library Awards Committee, which will select the winners.
