Oberlin College Library Perspectives

A Newsletter of the Oberlin College

Number 11, February, 1995

Electronic News of the Day

The Library and the Computing Center recently added a subscription to ClariNews, the oldest and largest electronic news service on the Internet, to the list of electronic information resources offered to Oberlin's students, staff, and faculty. The service includes frequent reports on general, international, technology, entertainment, and financial news, as well as special features and columns. The wire services of Reuters and the Associated Press provide the news and features coverage for ClariNews. Documentation on how to set up a ClariNews account is available both electronically and in paper form from the Computing Center (either "Internet on Macintosh: Usenet Using InterNews" or "Internet on the VAX: Usenet Using NEWSRDR").
