Reserve
Faculty may place materials specifically assigned for a particular course on Conservatory Library Reserve. These materials are available upon request at the Conservatory Library Circulation Desk and circulate for 3 hours or via the Oberlin College network. To establish a Reserve List, faculty should complete the specific form and return it to Charity Lofthouse by the established deadlines. Please see the Library’s Copyright Policy for Reserve and the Conservatory Library Reserve FAQs for more information.
Regular Reserve
Library materials that contain required reading or listening assignments are removed from the circulating collection to the regular reserve shelves behind the circulation desk.
Eres or Electronic Reserve
Sound and other digital files are made available on the Oberlin College network, 24/7.
Open Reserve
Library materials with recommended reading are removed from the circulating collection to the open reserve shelves. Students may take material from the open reserve shelves and use it on an honor-system basis. Items on open reserve may not leave the library. Recordings are not placed on open reserve.
