Study Carrels
There are 36 study carrels available in the art library, each assigned for a period of one semester. Students and faculty may apply for a carrel at the circulation desk. Carrels may be shared by two students, depending on demand. Preference is given to art history/studio art majors. Research Assistants may check out material to faculty carrels with prior approval; for more information ask the Art Librarian or Art Library Administrative Assistant.
Carrel owners are given a "Carrel Card" to check out items to their carrel; Carrel Cards are returned when the assignment ends (at semester end for students). Most Library Use Only material may be checked out to carrels with approval by the Art Librarian or Art Library Administrative Assistant.
For for more information about study carrel policies please ask the Art Librarian or Art Library Administrative Assistant.
