The Library Café Subcommittee

Membership: Ray English, Gary Kornblith, Michele Gross, Finance Division representative.

This subcommittee will outline, conceptualize, and present plans for the creation of a library café on the Main Level of Mudd (southeast corner). Its work will include the following:

• Recommend desired physical layout of the café, including seating space, food and preparation area, and whether the café will be a physically separate glass-enclosed space.
• Define services to be provided, including food and drink that will be available and hours of service.
• Recommend staffing for the café (UAW, student employees, etc.).
• Define financial aspects of the café, including start-up costs, staffing and other operating costs, and estimated income.
• Coordinate planning with other campus offices and staff as appropriate, including physical plant, human resources, and dining services.
