The Constituent Input Subcommittee
Membership: Haipeng Li, Albert Borroni, Jessica Grim, Scott Saluga,
Shozo Kawaguchi, student representative.
This subcommittee will solicit from students and other library users information that will inform the Academic Commons planning process. The subcommittee will focus in particular on user space preferences for specific learning and social behaviors. Its work will include the following:
- Organize focus groups, conduct electronic surveys, and utilize other appropriate methods to gather information on student and faculty space preferences as they relate to the Academic Commons project and larger space planning in Mudd Center.
- Plan for constituent communication over the life of the project.
- Provide input to other subcommittees to help inform their processes.
- Respond to requests from other subcommittees for specific types of information and feedback.
- Use Mellon library interns and Library/CIT student assistants to extent possible in planning and carrying out surveys and focus groups.
