Conservatory Library Acquisitions and Special Projects

Department: Conservatory Library Administration

Aspects of librarianship related to the project: Behind-the-scenes in the Conservatory Library; Acquisitions and receiving; In-depth searching of OBIS

Number of openings: 1

Estimated length of project: flexible between June 1 - August 23

Hours/day: 4-5 hrs/week

Dates available: June 1 - August 23

Preferred skills/knowledge: Music background; Attention to detail

Additional comments:There is a lot flexibility in what weekday and times of day these hours can be filled.

Description:
There are two projects:

  1. Receive and check in scores and recordings ordered for the Conservatory Library, checking to make sure all orders are correct and complete. This will entail some light training on the acquisitions functions of OBIS.
  2. Searching projects in OBIS to determine if we already own items:
