Description: Course materials for Fall 2000 chemistry
information were never put up on the Web server. It is useful
to have those materials there, as a matter of record, since two
journal articles refer to the Web site. Before converting the
Word documents to html documents, I would like the web site better
organized, with materials for each year of the course moved to
its own folder and the Default page for the course redesigned.
I would also want to prepare materials for the upcoming 2001 course
and have an intern those converted in Dreamweaver and put them
up on the site.
The science subject guides need to be created from the existing
"Internet Resources by Subject" lists. The intern would be responsible
for checking all existing listings for currency and accuracy,
and for searching other authoritative directory listings for sites
that should be linked to (focusing especially on reliable metasites).
In addition, the intern would collaborate with the science librarian
to incorporate information on the research process in each subject
area, with appropriate reference to LC subject headings, selected
encyclopedias, and methodologies for finding, using and evaluating
scientific information.
