a bibliographic citation, reading knowledge of western European

Description: People love art books; all those beautiful
illustrations are hard to resist! So it is not surprising that
we have a rather large list of books that are marked as "missing"
in OBIS. Unfortunately missing books are probably also of interest
to our current patrons, so we'd like to replace or find these
missing books if at all possible. Some "missing" books are known
to be lost (patrons couldn't find them and have paid for their
replacement) while others may just be mis-shelved.
As the list is rather long it would be best to work with small
sections at a time. This project should probably be done on a
part-time basis (less than 20 hours a week), but this is negotiable.
Here are the steps the project will follow:
- Search the Art library stacks, Main Library stacks and anywhere
else that seems appropriate (e.g., Carnegie stacks) for the
missing titles. We will advise you on where books may be found
and where they may be mis-shelved (e.g., ND's are sometimes
mis-shelved in NB).
- Search online to locate in-print copies of titles that cannot
be located.
- Search out-of-print dealers for titles that are no longer
in-print.
- Submit order recommendations to Barbara Prior as titles are
found (either in-print or out-of-print); she will order them.
