Nielson, Jakob. Designing web usability. Indianapolis: New Riders, 2000.
Read Chapter 1: Introduction: Why Web Usability?
Chapter 6: Accessibility for Users with Disabilities

Also, please read Nielson Chapter 2: Page Design during the week (does not have to be finished before Wednesday's class session)
