Wilson is principal of GroundView, a landscape architecture, ecology, and urban design consulting firm based in Boston. GroundView’s expertise is in creative envisioning at various scales—from exactingly detailed gardens to entire city districts. Martin leads the design of many office projects and his involvement extends from planning and design through construction. Martin and GroundView co-founder, Eden Dutcher, have placed in multiple international design competitions. For the past six years Martin has taught regularly at Harvard Graduate School of Design. At Harvard, Martin’s teaching and research have focused on transitional landscapes, their design and representation, and on the role of digital media in landscape design. He has served as a design studio critic at Harvard, the University of Pennsylvania, and Northeastern University. Before starting GroundView, Martin worked at Hargreaves Associates in San Francisco, before that, Philadelphia's Olin Partnership. He received his MLA from Harvard Graduate School of Design. He studied as an undergraduate at the University of Western Australia and Iowa State University, where he received his BLA degree.
