Transfer to Oberlin College

Students who are currently attending another school in the United States on an F-1 visa are required to transfer their SEVIS record to Oberlin College so that we can issue a new I-20 Form. The transfer is done electronically by the international student advisor at the current school.

As a student, you must complete Part I of the Transfer-In Verification Form. Then you must ask the international student advisor at your current school to complete Part II of the form and fax it to our attention at (440) 775-6369.

NOTE: We cannot issue an I-20 Form from Oberlin College until we have received your electronic SEVIS record from your current school.

IMPORTANT: If you are coming to Oberlin College from another US school and your SEVIS record was transferred to Oberlin during the summer, you must report to Oberlin's Office of International Students as soon as you arrive on campus to complete the transfer process. The SEVIS transfer must be completed within 15 days of the start date recorded on your Oberlin I-20 Form.
