Andrew Watterson
Andrew Watterson is the Program Director for the City of Cleveland’s Office of Sustainability. Andrew has been working in this position since May 2005 and advises the City on projects related to energy, buildings, fleet and purchasing. The City of Cleveland’s Office of Sustainability’s goals are to save the City of Cleveland money while reducing its ecological footprint, to use sustainability principles as a tool for economic development, and to increase the understanding of sustainability with employees and residents through education. The Office of Sustainability has been successful at saving money and reducing the City’s ecological footprint with new policies in energy, fleet, and facility management.
Prior to working at the City of Cleveland, Andrew worked in real estate development, focusing on historic restoration and green building. Previous projects include the Van Roy Coffee Building and the Cleveland Environmental Center (Cleveland, OH). Both of these projects are listed on the National Registry of Historic Places and implemented green building techniques throughout the renovation process. Andrew is a LEED-Accredited Professional and received his BA in Environmental Policy and Economics from Bates College in Lewiston, Maine.
