Amy Malick

Amy Malick is the Midwest Regional Director for the International Council on Local Environmental Initiatives (ICLEI) USA. Ms. Malick opened ICLEI’s Midwest Regional Capacity Center in Chicago in November 2007 to provide direct, customized support to ICLEI’s Midwest membership across 13 states. In this role, she is responsible for supporting all ICLEI members and participants in the Cities for Climate Protection® Campaign within the Midwest and furthering the momentum of greenhouse gas emission reductions within this region.

Ms. Malick comes to ICLEI from the Chicago Transit Authority, where she worked on a wide variety of transportation planning and environmental initiatives for nearly six years. Prior to coming to Chicago, she worked with the City of Seattle’s Strategic Planning Office to integrate land use and urban design with SoundTransit’s Link Light Rail. She holds a Master of Urban Planning degree from the University of Washington at Seattle, with specializations in environmental design and community development. Her extensive experience working with local government agencies positions her to navigate the inner-workings of government operations in order to successfully guide them down the path of sustainability.
