Professor Annemarie Sammartino
Annemarie Sammartino is Assistant
Professor in the Department of History at Oberlin College. She received
a B.A. in History from Rice University and an M.A. and Ph.D. in History
from the University of Michigan. She is currently in the process of turning
her dissertation into a book entitled Utopia and Exile: Migration
and the Crisis of the Nation in Germany, 1914-1922. This book and
her work more generally explore the crisis unleashed in Germany by the
Russian Revolution, World War I and the post-war settlements through the
lens of migration. Ms. Sammartino has additionally published articles
on paramilitarism in post-World War I Germany and the Baltics as well
