Gift Planning :: 50th Reunion Giving :: Gift Planning and Your Reunion
How do you put a price tag on your Oberlin experience? Making a special gift in honor of your reunion is a highly personal decision. For many alumni, a milestone reunion offers an opportunity to make a stretch gift that opens new doors for both you as a donor and Oberlin.
One way to maximize your reunion gift is through one of Oberlin’s many planned giving options. Planned gifts:
- Support a quality Oberlin experience for future generations
- Give you financial and emotional security as you age
- Provide security for your spouse and other survivors
- Can generate a reliable source of income for life
- Avoid or help decrease capital gains, income, gift, and estate taxes
A word on reunion gift accounting: Estate provisions count at full face value if you are willing to share your plans and provide an estimate of their value. Gifts to Oberlin that provide a lifetime income to you also count at full face value.
