In Mimesis, I am exploring the peculiar relationship between film and video. I am also interested in the role of both as imperfect imitators of the human eye. We filmmakers now stand at this juncture between the industrial age technology of film and the information age technology of digital video. It is important to realize that there will not necessarily be an 'evolution' from one to the other. They are, nominally and in actual fact, entirely different media.
