This
piece was composed during a four-week program at CCMIX studios in
Paris, France. Using Soundhack, I convoluted a guitar sample and a
short granular synthesis file that was created in Cloud Generator.
I then used Protools to create a series of variations of the convoluted
file and to sequence these samples. I find that it is often hard to
create long musical gestures and three-dimensional space with sample-based
music. I was consciously working with these issues while composing
this piece.
