This
piece, "88.5" is the NPR of the future. I happen to love
Public Radio; it's one of the few things I will listen to over the
airwaves. I especially like that in all of NPR's news shows, interviews
and documentary sections they discuss subjects totally inconsequential
to the lives of most listeners, but do their best to make it all sound
quite important to the edification of the masses. Twenty years from
now, I'm sure they'll be doing the same thing, only more so. Thus
"88.5" is a glimpse into the glorious and ridiculous future
of Public Radio if all the present indications are followed to their
logical conclusions.
