FIRST-YEAR SEMINAR PROGRAM CURRICULUM DEVELOPMENT GRANT

TO BE PREPARED BY THE DEPARTMENT/PROGRAM CHAIR
 
Please submit a letter, accompanying the faculty application for a First-Year Seminar Program curriculum development grant, that addresses the department/program's assessment of the value of this undertaking for the department/program and any adjustments that the department will make to its current curriculum to accommodate the new offering(s). Does the department/program approve the schedule for teaching the first-year seminar proposed by the applicant (see Question 2 of the faculty grant application)? NB: Seminars eligible for FYSP curriculum development grants must first be taught in the Fall semester of 2007 or 2008.

Please submit as Word files via electronic enclosures or in hard copy form to Mary Garvin , FYSP Acting Director, Science Center A139. Applications (including Chair’s Form) for 2008-09 grants are due November 20, 2007. General information about the First-Year Seminar Program can be found at http://www.oberlin.edu/fysfac/.
