When Will I Find Out About My Financial Aid Award?

Notices of eligibility for financial aid are sent at the end of March for students admitted for the fall semester, and after Dec. 1 for students admitted for the spring semester.

Prospective Students

• Awards will be sent with your letter of admission.
• If financial aid application is not complete at the time of admission, award will be sent shortly after your financial aid application is complete.

Returning Students

• Awards will be sent starting June 1.
• Awards are determined and mailed in the order we received the completed financial aid applications.

If you have not received a response to your aid application and you believe you should have, it may be because your application is not yet complete. Review the application steps and ensure that you've completed all steps in a timely manner. Admitted students may check PRESTO!, Oberlin's online student records system, to see if any required documents are missing.

If you believe you have completed all the application steps, contact the Office of Financial Aid, and we will investigate the cause of the delay in our response.
