About the Office of Finance
The Office of Finance oversees the financial and business
administration of the College, including budgeting, resource
allocation, short and long-term financial planning, accounting
and financial reporting, endowment and investment management,
human resources, the office of the physical plant, facilities
planning and construction, environmental health and safety,
purchasing, and auxiliary business services.
About the Vice President for the Office of Finance
Ronald R. Watts has built an extensive career at Oberlin College;
he first held the position of Assistant Manager of the Oberlin
Inn in 1976. In 1978 Mr. Watts joined the accounting staff of
the College, where he held positions of increasing responsibility.
Mr. Watts was appointed Controller in 1994 and Associate Vice
President in 1999. Active in community organizations, Mr. Watts
has served on the Boards of Trustees of the
Oberlin Early Childhood Center, the Shansi Memorial Association,
and the Allen Memorial Hospital. |
