ENVS316 Working Group Survey Form

The purpose of this survey is to provide me with the info necessary to assign "working groups". Working groups will work collectively on class, lab and research projects. My goal here is to construct groups with a diversity of skills and with common research interests.


Information for constructing groups:

List the total number of college-level courses you have taken in each of the following subjects. You can count AP courses as one course, do not count other high school courses.

Rank your knowledge of local plants, 1 = absolutely no knowledge, 5 = I know common and scientific names of most common local plant species in NE Ohio.

Rank your knowledge of local animals, 1 = absolutely no knowledge, 5 = quite good.

Rank your degree of comfort in using spread-sheets (like Excel) 1 = never used, 5 = comfortable using many features

Read the materials under the "Project Resources" button and rate each below according to your interest level. It is fine to give the same rating to different catagoriers (e.g. give several 5 if you are enthusiastic about them).

1 = not very intersted
5 = very interesting

1. Experimental wetland restoration
2. Biogeochemistry of the Living Machine and other wastewater treatment systems
3. Sustainable agriculture and soil properties (at Jones Farm and elsewhere)
4. Energy flow, material cycles, carbon sequestration and hazel nut agroforestry in urban ecosystems
5. Stream system ecology and land use effects on water quality and effects of waste water treatment systems
