*What is transition to romantic partnership? 

    - "Romantic partnership" is the term we use to describe what most people in the United States today refer to as "dating."  The reason we do not use this term here will be understood as you read through the material presented on this web site.  Different cultures and different time periods go through what we know as dating in ways that are unique to their specific time and place on this earth. 

*What is this page all about?

  - You will be taken on a mind-bending tour through the historical changes and socialization processes of adolescent romantic partnerships in Spain, India, and the United States. 

Addtionally, we have included three interviews in which young adults describe their dating experiences, with topics ranging from arranged marriages, traditional influences on dating, and modern American dating.

*Why are we doing this?

  - Our goal is to inform other students who are interested in human development about this transition in adolescence. 

*Who are we?

  - We are three college students interested in human development and  dating patterns during adolescence.  When we made this website we intended it to be used as a resource to other college students with the same interest in adolescent dating and human development.
