EDWARDS GIVES SERVICE TO HOME COMMUNITY
Veteran Insurance Man and Banker in Oberlin

J. L. Edwards, who conducts a real estate and insurance business on East College street, has been identified with people in Oberlin for almost half a century. For a time he was employed in the Johnson Dry Goods store and later he owned a grocery. He has followed the insurance and real estate business for about forty years.

As a member of the Board of Directors of the Oberlin Savings Bank Company Mr. Edwards rendered very valuable service to his bank and to the community by being an outstanding leader in the business of the reopening of the bank after its close in 1933. He has served as secretary of the Lorain Country Fair Board and was active for years in the Oberlin Board of Commerce. His entire career has been marked by a sympathetic and intelligent interest in the welfare of Oberlin.
