Tom Dalton

Tom Dalton became city manager after Edward Smith's resignation in 1971. Dalton, who would serve for the next seven years, undertook a number of important improvements in Oberlin. Both the power and light systems grew under his tenure. Oberlin also witnessed such improvements as a new city hall and new fire station. In November 1978, Dalton left to manage the city of Saginaw Michigan. He was replaced by Sherry Suttles.
