Luis.Fernandez@oberlin.edu

Fernandez Luis Fernandez (Ph.D., University of California, Berkeley, 1982) started his academic career as an econometrician and over the past years has become more and more interested in game theory. Besides introductory and advanced courses in econometrics, he teaches courses in money and banking, a 300-level course in game theory, and seminars in the economics of health care, time series analysis, and game theory. Current research interests involve experimental economics (“preference reversal”), choice under uncertainty, and efficient ways of communicating quality information between buyers and sellers. He also provides economic damage assessments to litigants and their attorneys and assesses the current value of pension benefits in divorce cases.
