We Recycle
The Oberlin Technology
Store can recycle used alkaline and lithium batteries from your electronic
devices (laptop, cell phone, camera, etc, no car batteries) and empty
ink cartridges (no laser toner cartridges). Bring these items to Mudd Level
A, and we'll recycle them in an environmentally sound manner.
We also now take old
computers and other electronic equipment. You
must wipe your own hard drive of all personal data before bringing to the
Tech Store or the Help Desk, Level A Mudd.

Apple
Battery Recall
Apple has issued a recall on batteries sold from October 2003 to August
2006 for the 12" iBook G4, 12" PowerBook G4, and 15" PowerBook
G4.
Only batteries for those models are effected. To see if your
battery is included in the recall, please go to http://support.apple.com/batteryprogram/ to check the model number and serial number of your battery.
If your battery
is part of the recall, please fill out the requested information
at that site. Users must do this on their own, CIT and the Technology
Store cannot do it for you. Contact us if you have questions.
