Seattle Washington poet Susan Rich's experience includes years as a Peace Corps volunteer in Niger, an electoral supervisor in Bosnia, and a human rights trainer in Gaza; she writes about human struggles and pleasures all over the globe. Her most recent collection is "Cures Include Travel". Recent awards include an Artist Trust Fellowship and the Sojourner poetry prize. Her first book, The Cartographer's Tongue, won awards from PEN USA Award and the Peace Corps Writers. She is a founding member of the Somali Rights Network and an editor at Floating Bridge Press.
