Hello There!

My name is Dr. Cyberviser. I am an on-line interactive adviser supported by the friendly folks at the Oberlin College Counseling Center.

I invite you all (faculty, staff, and students) to send me questions that you might have, and I'll do my best to answer them. You might have questions about how to help a friend; you might be looking for support in deciding whether you should seek help for the "depression" you have been feeling; you could have concerns about your eating or drinking behavior; you might have concerns about a dating relationship that you are involved with; or you might just be looking for some campus resources or a book suggestion on a specific topic.

Dr. Cyberviser is here to help you with all of these concerns, and more. Our question and answer system is constructed to preserve the anonymity of anyone who asks a question. Each week one question will be answered. Dr. Cyberviser will select those questions deemed most helpful to the community at large. Questions regarding specific referrals or feedback for the Counseling Center should be made directly to the Counseling Center. Because Dr. Cyberviser is designed to protect your anonymity, we are unable to provide a personal response to your question. Please feel free to browse through my archives of past question and answers. I look forward to getting more questions from you in the near future.

Dr. Cyberviser should not be used by
students who are currently in crisis.
People in distress, needing immediate attention, should call the Oberlin College Counseling Center
