The competition will take place from August 11-19, 2011. There will be two rounds with piano in Warner Concert Hall at the Oberlin Conservatory of Music. The fourth, fifth and sixth prizes of $1,000, and the Audience Prize of $500 will be presented at the conclusion of the Recital Final Round (in Oberlin - eliminate) on Wednesday, August 17.
On Friday, August 19, the top three finalists will compete for first, second, and third prizes in performance of complete concerti with the Cleveland Orchestra at its home, Severance Hall in Cleveland, Ohio. The first prize of $10,000 also includes engagements with professional orchestras in Beijing and Shanghai, China. The second prize of $6,000 and third prize of $3,000 will also be awarded that evening.
