Non-Conservatory Majors may audition for Oberlin Orchestra, but Chamber Orchestra is currently populated by conservatory majors only. We encourage non-majors to attend an Oberlin Orchestra concert prior to audition to ensure performance readiness. Non-majors may also participate in Oberlin's Community Ensembles. Please contact Philip Highfill for more information. Completion of Theory & Aural Skills is NOT a requirement of Arts and Sciences or Conservatory students prior to audition/registration for Large or Small Ensembles.

Wind Players must be assigned faculty-taught lesson status prior to audition, and therefore cannot audition for Oberlin Orchestra before second semester.
