Participants who wish to receive credit must attend all classes, rehearsals and performances and successfully complete the language exam. You will receive two elective music credits, and 5 language or multicultural credit from Oberlin College. Non-Oberlin students must receive prior
approval for the credit from their institutions to be sure the credits are transferable.
Classes in intensive Italian are every morning, Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 12:30 p.m. (with a break before the third hour). Students are expected to attend (attendance is taken daily) if they want to receive the 5 hours of Oberlin credit. The course is equivalent to one semester of Italian. A test is given July 6 and must be passed in order to receive the credit. Two credits are given to singers, instrumentalists and pianists for the music portion.
