The Oberlin Conservatory of Music is pleased to present its 20th annual summer training program for singers, pianists, instrumentalists, and students of the liberal arts in the beautiful city of Arezzo, Italy.
Over 80 young artists, college age and above, come together in the heart of Tuscany for a five-week program that combines intensive language and musical study with an immersion into the Italian culture. Participants may earn up to seven Oberlin College credits.

Arrival June 7, 2008; departure July 11, 2008.
Auditions and language program placement exams will be held on June 8. Regular classes for all participants will commence on June 9 and vocal/instrumental ensemble concert activities on June 20. The chamber music program will close with two days of concerts June 27-28 followed by main stage opera orchestra activities from June 30 to July 7.Opera performance rehearsals will take place July 2-3 followed by performances in Cortona (July 4-5), San Sepolcro (July 6), Castiglion Fiorentino (July 7) and Monte San Savino (July 9). The program will conclude with an external master class for singers and a closing reception and concert on July 10.

An application fee of $50 is due in US Dollars by check or online by credit card at the time of your application. The deposit on the course fee is due upon notification of acceptance to the program. Final payments must be received by April 15, 2008. Further information about payments as well as tuition and housing fees are available on the program fees page.
