The application deadline is Thursday, May 22, 2008. Please enclose a $75 nonrefundable deposit with the application. This deposit will be applied toward tuition.

Admission is open to students of beginning, intermediate, advanced, or professional standing in baroque performance. Qualified players and singers are assigned to coached ensembles after auditions. Auditors who do not wish to perform may be admitted at reduced tuition (see the Expenses page). Oberlin College credit is available. Attendance for only one week is contingent upon permission from the Administration.

No pre-audition necessary. The BPI welcomes musicians of all levels, from professionals to beginners of baroque music. The student body typically includes representatives of virtually all walks of life, from college and conservatory students through active professionals and amateurs of all ages.

Registration
BPI registration is on Sunday, June 15 from 1-5 pm. The orientation meeting is at 6 pm, followed by auditions for chamber ensemble placement. Please be prepared to play or sing a short (2-3 minute) selection for this audition. The closing event is the student ensemble concert on Saturday, June 28.
