"Brilliant music, intricate choreography and elaborate costumes evoked the splendor of the baroque era Friday night at Oberlin College ... Mezzo-soprano Jennifer Lane as Apollo performed coloratura arias with awesome technique and gorgeous tone. Soprano Kendra Colton produced a lighter sound as Erato, and she negotiated elaborate vocal passages with ease. Conductor Kenneth Slowik set lively tempos, and the faculty/student ensemble of strings, winds and keyboards performed with spirit, discipline and elegant baroque manners."
