Professor of Clarinet
Education:
B.M.E., 1964, M.M., 1966, Northwestern University;
Ph.D., University of Michigan, 1975. Study with Robert
Marcellus, Clark Brody, and Jerome Stowell.
Performances:
Solo and chamber music performances at the Library of
Congress, Alice Tully Hall, Metropolitan Museum of Art,
Smithsonian Institution, Jordan Hall, Abraham Goodman House,
Carnegie Hall, the Mostly Mozart Festival (Avery Fisher
Hall), and the Tangelwood Festival.
Professional Affiliations:
Performances as principal clarinetist with the
Smithsonian Chamber Orchestra, Handel and Haydn Society
Orchestra, Tafelmusick Chamber Orchestra, Toledo Symphony
Orchestra, Peninsula Festival Orchestra, City Musick, and
the Classical Band: co-principal clarinetist, Honolulu
Symphony Orchestra. Faculty member, University Michigan, and
Aston Magna Academy. Member, Smithsonian Chamber Players;
Mozartean Players; Oberlin Woodwind Quintet; ensemble
Pierrot.
