Michael Manderen

Lecturer in Guitar and Lute
Education:
B.A., B.Mus., Oberlin College, 1976; Study with Loris O.
Chobanian, William Matthews, Paul O'Dette, Barry Galbraith,
and Suzanne Bloch.
Professional Affiliations:
Judge at state- and regional-level ASTA and MTNA guitar
competitions.
Performances:
Commercial studio work in New York and Cleveland;
Appearances with the Cleveland Orchestra on lute and guitar
and with the baroque orchestra City Musick (Chicago) on
theorbo; Sponsored touring artist under the Ohio Arts
Council Fee Support Program and recommended performer by the
United States Information Agency; Solo and ensemble
performances with the Manderen Duckham Duo throughout the
Midwest and East.
Teaching:
Faculty associate, Baroque Performance Institute, 1977-82;
visiting instructor of guitar, Interlochen Arts Academy,
1990-92.
