Prizes and Awards: Named number one trombonist on Down Beat's International Critic's Poll in 1989, 1990, 1991, 1992 and 1995. Professional Affiliations: Music director for Art Blakely and the Jazz Messengers. Worked on Broadway performing with orchestras for Dream Girls, Tap Dance Kid, Black and Blue and Grease. Masterclasses given at campuses all over the U.S. Faculty member, Manhattan School of Music; former faculty member, Banff Centre, 1984-94. National clinician for Yamaha Musical Instruments.
