Oberlin Orchestra's March 5 Concert To Be Broadcast Live on WCLV

A concert by the Oberlin Orchestra, featuring guest conductor Glen Cortese and pianist Scott Meek '05, will be broadcast live on WCLV-104.9 FM , Cleveland's classical music radio station, beginning at 8 p.m. on Friday, March 5. The free, public concert, which takes place in Finney Chapel, will also be simulcast on wclv.com.

Cortese is the music director and conductor of the Oregon Mozart Players and music director of the New York Chamber Sinfonia. Meek, a student of Associate Professor of Piano Alvin Chow, is one of the Conservatory's 2004 Concerto Competition winners.

The program includes Brahms' Academic Festival Overture , op. 80; Prokofiev's Piano Concerto No. 3, C Major, op. 26; and Respighi's Fountains of Rome and Pines of Rome.
