Violinist Julia Sakharova '03 to be Featured on WQXR's Young Artists Showcase by Marci Janas '91
	RELATED Oberlin Violinist Julia Sakharova Wins Koussevitzky Competition Four Named Winners of 2002-03 Concerto Competition		Violinist Julia Sakharova '03 will be featured on The McGraw Hill Companies' Young Artists Showcase Wednesday, June 11, at 9 p.m. The program airs on WQXR 96.3 FM and is simulcast on wqxr.com. WQXR is the classical music radio station of The New York Times. Robert Sherman is the host of The Young Artists Showcase. Sakharova, an Oberlin Concerto Competition winner this year, will be heard performing Mendelssohn's Concerto for Violin in E minor, Op. 64. The performance was recorded in concert with the Oberlin Chamber Orchestra, conducted by Associate Professor of Conducting Steven Smith, in Finney Chapel on April 25, 2003.
