Other Oberlin Laureates in Dayton

Three of the six finalists in the Dayton Opera Guild Competition, held April 28, 2003, were Oberlin Conservatory students: Scott Skiba '03, Edward Geschke '04, and Heidi Wells '04.
The guild awarded only two
prizes, both of which went to Oberlin students. Besides first-place
winner Scott Skiba, Edward Geschke '04, who studies with Professor of
Singing Richard Miller,
won second place. Wells, the third finalist, studies with Professor
of Singing Daune Mahy.
