The second of four Concerto Competition Winners’ Concerts takes place on Friday, February 28, at 8 p.m. in Finney Chapel with pianist Daniela Flonta ’03 and the Oberlin Orchestra, conducted by Associate Professor of Conducting Steven Smith.

The concert, which is free and open to the public, features Flonta, accompanied by the Orchestra, performing Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 5 Op. 73 in E-flat Major (“Emperor”). The program also includes Witold Lutoslawski's Symphonic Variations and Maurice Ravel's Rhapsodie Espagnole. The Oberlin College Choir, prepared by Assistant Professor of Choral Conducting Hugh Floyd, joins the Orchestra in Claude Debussy's Nocturnes.
