Tune in to WCLV 104.9 FM all this week as the station features renowned oboist and Oberlin Conservatory graduate Alex Klein's Teldec recording of the Richard Strauss Oboe Concerto. Klein, principal oboist of the Chicago Symphony, was one of the soloists who received this year's Grammy award for Best Instrumental Soloist(s) Performance (with Orchestra) for the Chicago Symphony Orchestra's Teldec Classics recording of the Strauss Wind Concerti.

Excerpts from this CD will be played once a day each day this week and will be accompanied by a brief discussion with Robert Conrad, the station's manager, regarding the significance of this recording to the classical music world.

This recording is part of Oberlin's CD of the Week series-- a new program airing from WCLV, Cleveland's classical music station. The series will highlight a different recording each week and will feature Oberlin's faculty, alumni, and students.
