Erato Quartet Performs in Columbus By Bacilio Mendez II '04
			The members of Oberlin's Erato String Quartet-violinists Julia Sakharova '04 and Gared Crawford '04, cellist Elias Suarez '03, and violist Maria Bessmeltseva '05-have been establishing quite a name for themselves. Among their recent successes are winning the top prize at the Coleman-Barstow Award for Strings in April 2001 and performing at the Smithsonian Institution's Museum of American History last winter. The quartet's latest engagement is an upcoming concert in the Chamber Music Series at Ohio State University's celebrated Jefferson Academy of Music. The concert, to be held Sunday, February, 10, at 2 p.m. at the Columbus Museum of Art, will include Haydn's Quartet Op. 76, No.4, "Sunrise"; Beethoven's Op. 59, No.1, "Rasumovsky"; and Ravel's String Quartet in F Major.
