Tune
in to WCLV 104.9 FM all this week as the station features world-renowned
flutist and Oberlin Conservatory Professor Michel
Debosts Gramophone recording: La flûte virtuose.
Excerpts from this CD will be played once a day each day this week and
will be accompanied by a brief discussion with Robert Conrad, the station's
manager, regarding the significance of this recording to the classical
music world.
This recording is the third in Oberlin's CD of the Week series-- a new
program airing from WCLV, Cleveland's classical music station. The series
will highlight a different recording each week and will feature Oberlin's
faculty, alumni, and students. "The CD of the Week program gives
us the opportunity to display the Conservatory's talents to an extensive
radio audience. Each time the station airs the recording, we give the
listening audience a sample of our conservatory's excellence," says
Oberlin Conservatory Public Relations Director David Daniels.
